THE RESILINK MOBILE APPLICATION: TOWARDS A MORE INTUITIVE AND EFFICIENT USER EXPERIENCE

After 2 months of internal tests, feedback and integration of these feedback, the RESILINK Mobile Application, which serves as a front-end to the RESILINK Digital Platform, is evaluated since October 2024 at a larger scale, preparing the next & challenging Living-Lab phase!

A lot of efforts have been devoted to improve the User Experience, keeping in mind that the final users are the smallholder farmers who have, as top priority, to keep continuity in their activities during crisis. Therefore, publishing a new offer should take less than 30s!

The News section which list a number of News source, specific to each country, helps the farmers to be connected to governmental agencies, local & regional agriculture services, local authorties, … Searching menu is also improved, especially allowing to separate the location one is searching from its current geographical location, while still allowing fast search using current GPS location and a geographical area.

THE RESILINK MOBILE APP EVALUATION PROGRAM

Starting from May 2024, the RESILINK team prepared the RESILINK Evaluation Program with both internal and external tests.

Many tutorials, documents and flyers have been produced to start the Evaluation Program. Get all the documents and instructions from the Piloting section. If you are motivated and want to help, you can also test the RESILINK mobile application!

First interview/demo sessions have started in December 2024 and will continue until the LivingLab phase will be implemented!

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY THE RESILIENT SMALLHOLDER INITIATIVE

The Resilient Smallhoder Initiative launched in May 2024 has a dedicated web site!

The initiative is now supported by 11 international projects/organizations with the same concern: how to increase smallholders’ resilience?

A first webinar has been organized on Nov. 21st, 2024 where 79 participants registered! The presentations that were given by all the projects are available from the event agenda. The recorded video of the webinar can be viewed from the event post.

WHAT ARE THE NEXT NEWSLETTERS?

We will release Newsletters every 4 months. The next Newsletters will highlight:

  • The results collected from the RESILINK Mobile App Evaluation Program
  • The application templates demonstrating the platform-of-platforms concepts
  •  and much more
